About

My name is Luca, as the logo itself suggests, I am Italian, by profession a traveler, artist, engineer and teacher of Italian for foreigners online.

Lucancabur is a play on words between my name and the main volcano of San Pedro de Atacama, Chile, -Licancabur-, the place where I found my first complete and full connection with nature and where I decided to give up my previous lifestyle.

In fact, I graduated in energy production engineering, then I worked in a famous Italian railway company before dedicating myself to travel and thus my eyes could bear witness to thousands of amazing people, cities and landscapes.

From engineering to art is a very strange and long parable; but, it implies that letting go of the chains imposed on you by a certain routine lifestyle allows you to embrace many opportunities, discover and value latent personal sides.

Mission

After many experiences over the last few years I have come here  as an artist to offer you my creative and expressive side.

L ucancabur is a creative corner that finds inspiration  in the everyday things that surround us, especially the landscapes that are presented to us on our travels.

Simplicity is the supreme form of beauty and watercolor paintings or monochrome drawings want to convey the essence of the moment, the landscape or the subject frozen in an instant.

View

My moto "LibrArte del cotidiano" concentrates my vision of life and my art.

A life free from routine, away from monotony and a free art that changes and follows my daily inspiration on my travels.

I developed my techniques as a self-taught person and I have no references to other artists, which gives more freedom, uniqueness to my style and my works.

This freedom to flow carried by events enjoying the journey is condensed in the figure of the pelican in the logo. A being that lives between water, air and land in often paradisiacal places.
