WOODSTUDIO- antiques and art studio
First of a series of paintings whose collection is entitled Poems.
In this painting, concentric waves are displayed that expand in a mirror of water. That represents the waves of thoughts that expand freely in time and space when you reach moments of pure mental tranquility.

the carousel released
This first work made with a mixed technique (watercolor, India ink and a touch of acrylic white) with a surrealist style wants to represent the space of Carlos's new studio-café in La Antigua, Guatemala.
Exactly like the person of Carlos, who contains dualities, several contrasts are manifested here.
The horse that carries its carousel horn, a symbol of staticity, moves by splashing water; the sculpture present in the pool and normally caged in its very essence as an object, takes life and rides putting its hand over its mouth to shut up or to utter a cry?
Finally, the sink represented as a fountain is also transformed into a porcelain cup like the ones on the coffee shelves.

The advertisment with coffee
To accompany the first piece in view of a collection, this second work, always made with the mixed technique, maintains the controversial aspect of its elements. The image of the angel that attends to the opening of the Tío Vivo café as an announcement (the lampstand with a halo function and the furniture reflect real elements of the cafeteria).
The angel's face is hidden by a typical Guatemalan mask of removable mico. This eclectic angel, like Carlos, wears a blanket that is the opposite of refined and elegant, since it is from Mega Paca, and with one hand he offers a cup of coffee and with the other he holds a cigar. In contrast to the angelic figure (as described shortly before, actually not very angelic) in the background there are elements of death such as skeletons carrying out actions of sin, such as getting drunk or going to the motel to satisfy their desires.
